Q: I've never done a charity event before - will this be hard?
A: Not at all! Before I started CrashPad4Kids I participated in many charity events and lots of them were really hard to participate in. So, when I decided to start this event, I wanted to make it super simple for creators. There are no fixed stream schedules, assets are all provided in a handbook, and adding a full overlay with alerts and animations is simply just adding a browser source - that's it. I do all the hard work on my end so you can just focus on creating, entertaining, and raising funds for Make-A-Wish

Q: Will giveaway items be given away to only the creators who raise the most?
A: NO! Your time is super valuable, so as long as you stream during the event (amount of hours change per event as well as other requirements here), you will be entered into the giveaway.

Q: Do I have to have the official overlay on my stream? I want to make my own overlay
A: Yes, you do if you want to be entered into the giveaways. The overlay is designed to properly show sponsor information depending on the level of support they give. If you choose to not use the overlay that is part of sponsorship requirements, you can't have a chance to win what they're providing - I think that's pretty fair. That being said, you can have both your own custom overlay and the official overlay at the same time.
Volunteer FAQ

Q: I'd like to volunteer - what can I do?
A: We honestly need a TON of help! The biggest hurdle early on is reaching out to creators around the world to let them know about the event and inviting them to join - that is a big way you can help. Other ways to help include updating the website, working on graphics, giving out game codes in creator streams during the event, creating things that we can give away (either in the swag bag or as individual giveaways), and a big one is tech support.

Q: Do I need to join the Discord if I'm a volunteer?
A: Technically no, but you most likely wouldn't be super effective. We don't have the base team to DM every single volunteer, so we post in general volunteer channels to keep everyone updated. You may miss important updates if you're not in the Discord.
Sponsor FAQ
Q: Is there a minimum amount I/my organization can sponsor?
A: No, there isn't, but sponsor perks start at $500 CAD

Q: What kind of things can I/my organization sponsor?
A: Obviously we love to have product we can use in giveaways to incentivise creators, volunteers, and donors, but we also would love to have donation matching or even a commitment to directly cover the costs of event logistics (each year costs the organizing team approximately $2,500 CAD)

Q: I want to be the Title Sponsor, how do I do that and what does that entail?
A: There is only ever 1 title sponsor spot per event and not only do you get all the perks of the lower tiers, you are also included in all event branding and we are happy to negoitate a few extras for you that best suit your brand.

Q: What are the different sponsor tiers about?
A: Basically, it's perks sponsors can unlock by providing more value to the event. The more you give, the more you get in promotion/advertising.
Donor FAQ
Q: Is there a minimum amount that a donor needs to donate to enter into the giveaways?
A: Yes. Every $10 will give the donor 1 entry into the donor giveaways. So, 10 donations worth $5 will be 5 entries, and a single $50 donation will also be 5 entries. It is rounded down to the nearest $10, so $99 total donated will be worth 9 entries. It also counts their donations across all streams for the entire week.

Q: Will there be donation receipts?
A: Yes. Donations of $20 or more will qualify for donation receipts that can be submitted with your taxes.

Q: Do I get enterted into multiple giveaways?
A: Yes. Every $10 donated not only gets you an entry into the donor exclusive giveaways, but also gets you an entry into the Grand Prize PC giveaway
